Sandi Newell – OSJ Principal

I started out helping my dad in his broad insurance and investment business in junior high. I went on to join his team and came to realize the importance of providing great service to our clients, and the value of the trust they place in us.

Over our forty years together I transitioned from working for my dad to working with him and have since gone on to become his partner and successor. My dad’s love for our industry, his depth of knowledge, and faithfulness towards his clients has influenced and encouraged me in my success.

I have the privilege of working with singles and couples who are serious about charting a successful journey to and through retirement. My clients include a broad base of ladies, both young and old, seeking wisdom and sound advice as they navigate life’s many and varied decisions.

• Am I doing enough now for my future retirement?
• When can I retire?
• In my retirement, will my money last as long as I do?

My clients are actively engaged in life and in their families and they’re making a difference in their jobs. I help them become confident and secure as they look forward to their future, proactively making plans and enjoying the process.

I believe in partnership, excellent service, and total trust. Whether I’m helping young adults to set up the foundations upon which to build a secure future or guiding older clients to manage and maximize their pensions and business retirement plans, my approach is always to provide a bedrock of advice, guidance and education.

Finance is often complex, and the paperwork, confusing; it requires a decision-making framework and wisdom to understand one’s options and make astute choices. I take time to educate my clients so they understand their options and can make sound financial decisions, to ensure they build, save and protect enough money through the market’s ups and downs, to create a sustainable income in retirement.

I see my primary role as working to create financial outcomes that are most beneficial to my clients, building these into personalized goal-orientated plans that are responsive to change, and regularly reviewed to safeguard their trust and confidence.

I have obtained my CRPC (Certified Retirement Planning Counselor) designation, and I hold series 7, 24, 63 and 65 Securities Registrations and WA State Life and Disability license. Since 2013, I have helped WestStar Prosperity Group as an OSJ (Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction) Delegate and Manager.

I’m family-orientated, and I married my fabulous, talented husband at age 23. We have a daughter and son, and two (practically perfect) grandsons.  We enjoy gardening, traveling and entertaining.

Fun Facts

My husband and I have catered many banquets and receptions together, and cooked for youth camps over summer vacations. We hope to visit all our national parks. As a college student I spent an eye-opening summer working with children in the jungles and cities of Zaire, Africa.
